If you're caring for someone 55 or older who needs nursing home level of care, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) can help them stay at home. PACE provides coordinated medical and social services, including primary care, dental, prescriptions, home care, adult day health care, and transportation to appointments. Participants receive all Medicare and Medicaid services without the limitations those programs normally impose.
New Jersey is expanding the PACE program to all 21 counties. Some PACE centers are accepting enrollments now, while others will open over the next 18-24 months. Contact your local PACE agency to check eligibility and availability in your area.
