Sometimes the most challenging part of exercising is figuring out what type of exercise to do. There are so many options and it is difficult to choose which one fits best. We will explore the various reasons and motivations to exercise and connect these to the various types of exercise. We will also discuss some of the more common barriers to establishing a successful exercise routine and some strategies to overcome these barriers.
Dr. Bonnie Saunders PT, MPA, DPT
Bonnie has been a physical therapist for over 30 years. She has worked in various clinic settings and states across the country and is currently the director of Physical Rehabilitation services in the Saint Peter’s Health System. Exercise has been a pillar of her professional life as well as a component of her personal life. Over the years her approach to exercise has changed and she will offer some of these insights to participants.
