Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms such as coughing, sneezing, wheezing, fever, runny nose, and decrease in appetite.
Infants/young children and older adults are most at risk for severe disease that may require hospitalization. RSV can also cause severe symptoms in people with weakened immune systems or chronic heart and lung disease.
