Love Your Bones

x-ray of a hand

Osteoporosis, or “porous bone,” is a progressive disease that causes bones to weaken and become brittle, increasing the risk of fractures. Studies show that building strong bones during childhood and adolescence – and maintaining proper bone health throughout the young adult and middle-age years – can help to prevent osteoporosis later in life among both men and women. This lecture will provide you with information about Osteoporosis and how to implement strategies that will maximize bone health in individuals of all ages and reduce their fracture risk in the later years.
