Hackensack Meridian Health offers the American Heart Association's Family & Friends CPR® Course for those who want to learn the lifesaving skill of hands-only CPR. Participants will receive a participation card. This is not a certificate course.

 

CPR: The Facts

  • CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure performed when the heart stops beating.
  • Immediate CPR can double or triple chances of survival after cardiac arrest.

 

The Course Teaches:

  • How to evaluate safety in any situation
  • When to call 911
  • Lifesaving skills of Hands-Only® CPR
  • How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • How to determine if someone is choking
